twitter is smart

sick and tired of orkut and facebook, i moved to twitter (a friend adviced me) to see if it has something new/interesting. and unlike orkut, facebook twitter is different, interesting and smart. yeah you heard it right, its smart! i wanted to follow some people on twitter (that's the whole point of twitter i guess), first thing is to find out who all from your gmail/yahoo contact list are on twitter, so i did that. and then the funny thing happened. following message was displayed by twitter

twitter is checking your contact list
it might take a bit longer if you're popular

and it did take quite some time! i don't know whether it was due to slow internet connection (i doubt that though) but it felt really good. i am amused and impressed by twitter's artificial intelligence :-)
